Taught by Andy Oding and Toby Smith of Building Knowledge, the instructors have a combined 35+ years in the building and energy advisor industriesĮnergy Advisors that have passed these exams can work in the Union Gas and Enbridge home retrofit programs, as well as complete EnerGuide Ratings on new homes. It is also the first step to becoming an Energy Advisor in the ENERGY STAR ® for New Homes and Net Zero programs. This course is designed to prepare energy advisors for the EnerGuide Rating System version 15 Foundation Level and Energy Advisor exams. Energy Advisors are authorized by Natural Resources Canada to conduct EnerGuide home evaluations and provide expert advice in the planning and designing stages of home construction. It’s time to learn how to deal with this by getting trained as an energy advisor. The industry is changing, building codes are changing, and construction methods are becoming more focused on GJ and the energy consumption of the home.
